How do I engage my child in learning?

Let your child ask YOU questions.

The desire to learn starts with curiosity. While our activities are limited during this time of COVID-19, I suggest we tell our children this is a time of curiosity.

Let them ask you questions. But don’t answer the questions. Instead, act as a guide to help them find answers. Instead of telling them what they have to learn, ask them what they are curious about.

When a child pursues their own curiosity, they often read more challenging materials and their reading skills will improve as well as their understanding of the world around them.

Let the time of curiosity begin!
