News Scavenger Hunts
Scavenger Hunts with the newspaper are fun and can be used to search for a wide variety of topics. Here are just a few ideas:
ABC Hunt: Find each letter of the alphabet on one page of the newspaper (if you can!). Connect the letters from A-Z and then color in the design.
Noun Time: Look through the newspaper and circle people in green, places in red and things in blue.
Numbers Describe: Look through the newspaper and circle five numbers. Then determine what each number describes. Is it a dollar amount, a date, an age, or something else?
